Kelley aka The Practically Perfect Husband

when i say Practically Perfect, i mean it – sure he has the standard male flaws – he feels the need to watch EVERY Mavericks basketball game and doesn’t clean the kitchen quite to my liking – but he still thinks i’m hot in all my post-baby glory, he doesn’t complain when i spend money and he NEVER yells – ever. and he puts up with me on a daily basis, which is pretty amazing in and of itself – plus he’s pretty cute!!
Sydney Jane aka Mini Me
the light of my life and the child most likely to make me regret loving my bad attitude (considering she inherited every.bit.of.it.) – my mom says that when i was a baby, i followed her everywhere she went and that i was always right underneath her – she often wished a child on me that would do the same thing – um, got her! not only is Sydney exactly like me in each and every way, she also has no desire to be anywhere except where i am!
Angie aka My BFF

Angie and i have been friends since college and she is most definitely my partner-in-crime – she’s the mom of 2 (a teen-aged girl and the cutest little boy ever) and has been married a hundred years – we know just about everything about each other and can communicate without ever finishing a sentence
Evilina aka My Sister, Stacie

my younger, shorter, smarter (she has 3 degrees!) sister – she loves shoes as much as i do, is one of the funniest people i know and is known for her no-nonsense personality – she is completely “tell it like it is” and is not one to sugar coat … anything – if you want someone to tell you what you want to hear, she’s not the one to call – which is why i jokingly (sort of) nicknamed her Evilina several years ago – but she is one of my best friends and i’d be lost without her – plus, she’s Sydney’s godmother and a better Catholic than i am
My Mom aka Grandma aka Ra Ra

Jaylen, Cienna, Ra Ra, Sydney and Bryce
you know that saying, “if i had known how much fun grandchildren would be, i would’ve had them first”? that totally epitomizes my mom – i’ve always said that i was put on the earth to be a wife and mom – well my mom was put on the earth to be a grandma – she has pretty much been waiting her whole life for grandkids and then practically overnight she went from having none to having four! Mom was completely cool with being called Grandma, but Jaylen could only say Ra Ra and so far that’s stuck – at least until Sydney and Cienna are able to talk and change it to something else!
Just wanted to let you know that I added you to my blogroll at http://thevervepath.com
your family is beautiful!
Your Dad (John) reminded me to check out your site at the TC NE Republican Meeting last night! I’m hooked !! Loved the video of Myles birth story. The picture of the Bedford EMS guy (the one in the car) is priceless! The look on his face says it all!
Julie DeVito
Dianthe – I found your blog via FB when I saw you commented on a Status update of Stacie’s. Your description of Stacy is exactly as I remember her as my friend oh so many years ago! Funny and yes I don’t remember her ever sugar coating anything – not that there was much to sugar coat at our age. I have fond memories of you, Stacy, and your family. I’m so glad to be able to see how we’ve all turned into such great Adults and Parent’s!
You need to add baby Myles to your Cast of Characters section!
Hey! I came across your blog through the forum on thebump.com. I LOVE your siggy. You have a beautiful family. All the best!
